I have been trying to tidy up my credit file and noted that there is a default notice registered against me by CFO Lending (Pay day lender). Having requested this it arrived today. I am very suspicious with this default given that it appears to have just been printed again and dates manually input rather than an actual copy of the default notice that was served. Also, the dates do not match on the default notice with that showing with Experian.
The date of the DN is 21 November 2013 and the date the default needed to be remedied is the 16 November 2015. I am not sure why this is the case that the remedy date is nearly two years from the default notice. This is why I am extremely suspicious.
Also, the dates and amounts are way out with Experian. The default notice is only for £441.81 yet, the entry on my report is over £1700. The Default date with Experian is March 2014.
Do you think I have valid grounds to challenge the DN and get this removed from my file. The information been held is misleading and certainly not factual.
