  • Bryan Carter/Fredrickson/Lowell - Help please

Received a letter from Bryan Carter that they will issue court proceedings next week if i do not pay a sum of £1300.

The debt relates to a credit card I took out with Vanquis in 2012. I have received letters from various debt collection agencies asking for payment etc, but haven't been able to respond as I had no money spare.

I am currently unemployed but after paying off other things and although i'm nowhere near able to pay off the full amount, can now afford to pay a little amount each month now.

It looks like its gone beyond negotiating a payment plan, and I am peeved that now that I can start paying something towards it, that door could be shut in my face, and i will have a CCJ to my name.

Can I delay proceedings against me from Bryan Carter? Is it possible to negotiate at this stage with Fredrickson/Lowell for £10 a month? Can i stop this going to court? Or am i going to have a CCJ against my name, messing up my job prospects, and the ability to pay bills monthly?

Anyone with any experience with this sort of thing? I'm a big girl, i can take bad news!

Have a read. A reply to the letter before action is a great way to go.
