hi I'm very new to this, so please bear with me if I ramble on.
well just over a year ago I Was a bt customer, I had TV, internet and phone for about approximately 25pound a month.

AlL was going well for the first few months or so,
then an unselected bill arrived over a hundred pounds.
I called then up thinking it must be some kind of mistake as I hadn't done anything different to incur any charges.

They saId that I had been downloading data, which I hadn't but had subscribe to net flicks for my son.
Which I had done for my entire time and previously hadn't incurred any charges.
I was adamant that I hadn't downloaded any films and only streamed online-not downloading.

Any way this went on and on as I refused to pay thinking I was being bullied into go unlimited for an extra 15 pound a month, as every time I spoke to any one they kept urging me to go unlimited.

Any way they cut me off and now a debt finance recovery have been taking ten pounds a week off me.
The bill had gone from about 300 from bt taking there bill and monthly line rental for the year to about 800 pounds.

Theythreatened me with bailiffs which of course I don't want neither do I want yo be black listed add I do eventually want to buy my home.

I hate the fact this country allows these multi million pounds companies get away with this

    How charmingly naive!

Whether the data are downloaded or "streamed", you were still causing data to be sent.
Didn't the buggers at BT ever explain that to you?

It would certainly have been sensible.

Any way they cut me off
And you cannot get online to cancel your NetFlix subscription?

    How?

How much is owed to BT?

They threatened me with bailiffs which of course I don't want
    Why not?

Without a County Court Judgement to enforce, there'd be bugger all they could do.

By the way, you do have a valid TV licence, don't you?

Or do you no longer watch television?

First thing i would do here is write to BT recorded Delivery asking for a break down of cost and data user along with the retrospective dates this data usage occurred which led to this £300 bill - Surely it can not all be from 1 months of data usage?! Which, if not, would beg the question why you were not charged extra with your monthly subscriptions!
