  • Can interim charging orders be re assigned?

I have an interim charging order from Egg (2006) which shows on my deeds as a restriction on my equitable interest in the property, which is jointly owned with a non debtor, my ex wife

Egg sold my account to Barclaycard - will they have re assigned the interim order to Barclaycard as part of the deal?

How easy would it be for Barclaycard to convert the interim order into a full order?

    Thanks

Re: Can interim charging orders be re assigned?

The whole of the Egg portfolio got sold to Barclays, which would include live accounts, defaulted accounts, CCJs, etc., although I believe Citi were the previous Egg owners, at least that was the case with the credit cards (of which I have one).

There will have to be a court hearing before a final Charging Order can be recorded, see this: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/wales/...ing_orders.htm

In the case of a jointly-owned property, they can only record a restriction. There is quite a long thread on the subject here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...1839539&page=1
