  • Orange and Global Arrow

    Hi everyone

A while ago I posted on here about a debt I apparently have with Global Arrow. I received some good advise over email but have since managed to delete the email but in the meantime I have also remembered a few other things around this debt so thought I would start again

In 2010 I cancelled with mobile account with Orange due to their extremly bad reception and customer service. I remember calling them to early (2 months before end of contract) to start off with so called again 30 days before the end of the contract and cancelled. Unfortunately I didn't realise that I had to also do this in writing so don't have anything in writing.

To my knowledge I paid the the final amount and then cancelled the direct debits. Again, here I have a problem proving anything as the payments I made came out of another account which used to be a joint account I shared with my now expartner. He now has the account in his name and I know that being the person he is, he will not help at all so no point in asking him anything.

Orange sent me a few letters which I regularly disputed with them (again only over the phone) and then things went quite.

This is where Global Arrow come in. A few months ago I asked for a copy of my credit report and see that Global Arrow logged a default against my account in Jan 13. I disputed this through the CRA but the responce I got was that Global Arrow refuse to remove this default or do any until I contact them directly.

Can anyone please tell me what I should do? The amount outstanding is a measly £83 but this is obviously impacting my credit score quite serverly.

    Thank you

If you posted on the forum, why did you receive advice by email? Was it email or private message (PM)? Because this forum actively discourages advice given off-the-forum, unless it's strictly necessary because it's an issue of a sensitive nature, etc. Which doesn't seem to be the case here. :ohwell:

Any idea who the author of the emails was? :confused2:

      Hi

No I don't have any idea. And sorry, I didn't realise off forum advise was prohibited... Will ensure that doesn't happen again.
