    Re: RBS Credit Card

    Evening.

Thank you for the information. It looked like a result when I read it through but you never know with these things. I will file the letter carefully. It seems a shame they are allowed to pass on my details and the debt to someone else when they know they are unable to supply the relevant paperwork to enforce it.

Could I please confirm. The default falls off the file after 6 years and the debt is statute barred 6 years after the last payment?

If I am contacted regarding this debt I simply send a copy of the RBS Letter and a brief 'get lost' note without acknowledging the money owed?

    Thanks and regards.

      Re: RBS Credit Card

You got the general idea! The default falls off 6 years after it was recorded, yes. They may sell the debt precisely because they can't collect it, but then they may not, I've never received a notice of assignment saying my RBS account has been sold, nor have I heard from a DCA since Jan 2012. You may well be as lucky as me!

If you hear from anyone do post up here before you reply. :thumb:
