  • Fredrickson and HMRC

I am being pursued by Fredrickson International for a HMRC debt of £300.13. I was late in paying HMRC, but the amount was paid in full on the 29th January, infact I overpaid by about £40 so there is no debt outstanding.

I am now receiving letters from Fredrickson in relation to this. three this week and numerous phone calls of which I have not been taking. I have written to the HMRC asking them to send me a statement confirming there is nothing outstanding and also asking them to advise Fredrikson of the same. I appreciate that my payment to them and their contact with Freds may have been around he same time.

In the meantime do I make contact with Fredrickson. I was thinking of writing to them and referring them back to HMRC or do I send them a "Prove it letter " ? Or do I sit tight and ignore it ?

Many thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to give.
