Re: CTS Private Clients (Carl Wright??)

      Hi,

I have just been to an interview with a bloke from CTS Private clients Ltd called Derek?? Scottish bloke.

I was a little concerned when he said almost at the start of the interview that the "training course" in January would be £170 then went on to explain how everything works. As with any jobs offering lucritive ammounts of money in comissions I naturally had a lot of questions some of which were answered to my satisfaction and others not so much - like "you say you are a part of a larger group of companies - how is the company structured?" - I got a long winded answer as to how they pick and choose which management companies they work with depending on how the market is going... not really the answer I was looking for.

Any way - at the end of the interview he said he didnt think I was completely sold on the position and when I questioned this he said he didnt know why (probably an interview technique used to close people on saying yes I am please take me on - but I am not stupid and wont be closed too easilly) Afterwards he put a contract in front of me and a credit card mandate to pay for the course - I have both at home (After some tense negotiations as he didnt want to let them out of his office without having details and signitures on them)

I am slightly worried that this company will take my money and then never give me any work but at the same time still slightly impulsed on the earning potential and currently 50/50 if this is a scam similar to the PerDM or Cobra direct markteing but with less working hours and better commisions - I dont think 100% commission or being a contractor is a scam but am very aware that this type of work can be open to these sort of "false promise" schemes

Does anyone have any more information on this company "CTS Private Clients" from a perspective that they have worked for them...

Any info would be appreciated as all I can find at the min is they were started in May 2012 (so showing signs of perDM again with companies popping up all over the place all the time)

      Thanks

Re: CTS Private Clients (Carl Wright??)

        Hi all,
I had an interview with Val, from CTS Private clients in October. I went to the seminar, went to the 2nd interview and was offered the job. I was told to come back and sign the contracts (all of this was performed in a local hotel) I went back to sign the contracts. I started reading through the very long contract and all seemed quite normal up to the point I was interupted and then just read a few pages at random. I signed the contract but when it came to filling out details of bank, I was informed that the actual training would cost £170 and the this would be an upfront payment as they had taken people on before and they had gone to the training and stayed in a nice hotel and then not turned up for work and they never saw their reps again, so this way, they can be sure that if people pay for training, they will turn up for work. Seemed feasable I suppose. I told him I couldn't afford that so close to christmas and would it be ok if I attended the next training date after xmas. He was ok with that. The one thing that really concerned me, was that as I wasn't attending this next up and coming training date (2nd-4th Nov) I would still need to sign the bank form....it was blank apart from my signiture. Nothing has ever been removed from my account, But I've just had that feeling in the pit of my stomach, that something isn't right, so I researched and came across all this negative stuff, now I'm really worried! They haven't been operating long and from the seminar he made it sound as if they had been going for years....now I understand why! Don't want to believe its not true, I actually felt as though, I had a career and I could earn plenty of money, so it's very disappointing to find all this out! The next training date (or so he told me) is Febuary although he said he'd be intouch to invite me along to his office which is only 2 mins from me (google doesn't seem to recognise his address in the industrial estate he claims to work in) so I could have an understanding of how everything is run.....hasn't happened! He also said, that he's organising a xmas party and would be in touch with details so I could attend and get to know the others....hasn't happened! Argh! Just my frickin luck! LOL. I found it odd, it was all performed in a hotel but me being me, ignored that rumbling sickie feeling telling me he was a trickster! Hubby saw right through it and we actually argued over it, guess I owe him and apology! LOL. I wonder if this story rings true with anyone else?

It would be helpful if anyone who is concerned about their employment 'offer' from CTS Private Clients should contact Trading Standards; who will investigate whether this is all legitimate or not.

The web address is what I got sent when they first contacted me, I also noticed it was very basic, no company phone numbers, which did ring alarm bells but I ignored it. I do however have their mobile numbers from the artinary for training. Thanks for the advice, think I will ring trading standards as I did a lil more digging last night and the company seems very aloof! Too aloof!

Ok, I have reported them to trading standards fraud line, will keep you updated as to the outcome. If this is a scammer company, then hopefully, they will taken out of business! Or just change their name, like they have done in the past!
