Please bear with me as i am new to this . My Husband bought a car on finance with British Credit trust in 2004 , and like a fool i signed the agreement after he promised to pay the money
After losing his license the car was repossed to 2008, but they have been pestering us for a debt of £7,630.80 ever since . Sometime last year the debt was passed on to MMF and i have been bombarded with letters and phone calls.
My Husband did agree to a repayment plan initially ,but without telling me stopped paying . We have since seperated and he is refusing to pay the money.
I can't work at the moment due to ilness , and the stress is making me worse . i have just got home today , to find the standard letter from Karl Barton pushed through my letter box.
Unless i phone back they are saying they will keep returning untill they find me at home. And that i should arrange a mutual time to come out to avoid my embarrassment that will arise from a unannounced visit.
I am on limited benefits and already in debt with a credit card.my husband used for online gambling while i was in bed.
Any suggestions or ideas to get them off my back ? , i did foolishy offer then a few pounds a month but was turned down .
they want me to pay them £40 every month , which i can't afford.
