  • CCS Collect advice

    Hi everybody,

I am new to the forum as you may well know. I received a phone call from CCS Collect today off a mobile number, i answered it expecting it to be a friend on a new number when the lady launched into i owe £102 to DWP for overpayment of jobseekers allowance at the start of the year when my hours were reduced to 8 per week.
I received a letter in a previous address but have since moved twice. The letter was from DWP about overpayment to which i appealed and never heard anything back, i have never received any further letters/calls.
Does anybody have any advice in what to do? If it has gone to CCS is that the end and i have to pay it? Should i give them my current address?

    Thanks for any help!

Welcome. Get in touch DWP as soon as possible. Also, are you still in receipt of JA? Do not deal with anyone on the mobile.

Yes deal directly with the DWP only, Never talk to CCS on the phone again, they have no legal powers over you at all. But do not ignore this as the DWP does have powers and can take you to court if you do not resolve this with them.
