I wonder if anybody can give me a bit of advice? I took out a car loan with welcome finance. I had a statement sent to me showing I owe £284.50p on March 2012. But I am being chased for £1735.00 by a debt collection agency. I have phoned welcome on a number of occasions without any response. Today I finely get through to someone and there answer was it was an I.T error. Is the statement they sent through is a legal binding document.

    cheers

Are they admitting a cock-up? I.T. errors no longer cut any ice with the courts as a human would have had to input information into the I.T. in the first place. Both Welcome Finance and the DCA need to explain their "I.T. error" without giving you a load of BS.

They have admitted it is an I.T error. But still want the £1735.00p. regarding the statement I have got. I don't what my next move would be.
      Cheers
