  • Are further advance conditions enforcible?

New here, thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully respond. Feeling really stressed!

We borrowed a further 20k from building soc in November 2011 to repay 14k cc and do some vital works to the house. The works took place but were more expensive than anticipated. Also both our cars had major problems at MOTs in December (unanticipaed) which cost a fortune. Bottom line we only had 8k left to pay towards cc which we did a few weeks ago. It was on a zero percent deal to expire start of April so we have lost nothing by waiting to repay.

We have now seen a house we'd like to buy and while we hadn't been thinking of a move we would like to try for it as its a dream home. All affordable etc no problems. However I am scared to revert to our BS to port the mortgage as I am worried they will see we didn't repay cc in full and it was a condition of the further advance.

Are we in trouble if they know about this? What could they do to us? Really feel sick but didn't set out to mislead.

Are you able to switch the CC balance to another CC with a 0% balance? Obviously it would then be advisable to cut up the original card and cancel the agreement.

Hi, thanks for reply. I'd rather not have another credit search etc at a time of switching and upping mortgage borrowing. Card already cut up months back!
