    You guys are the best! I would have been panicing left right and centre if i hadn't of had this site recommended. Thanks you so much for all the helpful advise. I will write this letter and keep you posted.

        They once told me that the Limitation Act didn't apply in NI as it wasn't part of the UK. I corrected them on their geography and educated them in the Limitation (Northern Ireland) Order 1980

          I've known Aktiv Krapital to claim that, as an alleged debt was only 5 years and 6 months old, it was not statute barred.

          There was just one tiny flaw in their argument.

          The alleged debtor resided in Scotland.

          When they were made aware of section 6 (link) and Schedule 1 (link) of the Prescription and Limitation (Scotland) Act 1973, they soon gave up.

                  They have also said that they have requested proof of the debt from Egg and will contact us again in due course. The Debt for Egg is £500 and but i'm worry about the 3 mobile ones as tey are claiming that each account is nearly £500 each. Can you give me some advise?

                  I too am having the same issue with Lowells/3. I wrote to them last week with a 'prove it' letter. Today I received a reply exactly the same as highlighted in red above.

                  Should I reply to them and if so, what is the best thing to say ?
