    Quick question for a mate

She has a letter from a DCA threatening a visit on Thursday, this is a small disputed debt and this is about the 6th agency it has been to and each time she tells them its disputed another one contacts after about 2 weeks.

I have advised her to send them a fax to stop them calling but I know theres a few things she should include:
    1. their licence as a bailiff
    2. the CCJ relating to the debt
    3. the warrant?
sorry, I just need the above clarifying as its only from stuff i've read, never actually been in this position.

I think she should also ask them to confirm they actually hold the above documents in writing before thursday so she can refer the matter as a complaint if not?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Re: Visit from DCA

I can't help much directly here, but I can tell you that I've had these cards like spam in the past, yet never had a visit. Just sending them seems to do the trick with a lot of people who panic and contact them to offer payment.

I know that Welcome F do sometimes send people around, but its really quite rare for others to actually do it, especially for a small debt of questionable legality.

As I understand it without a court order they have no powers and you have no obligation to speak to them, certainly not to let them in your house.
