    Dear Sir

    Re: 1st credit-MBNA outstanding debt.

I refer to the above stated matter and your letter dated 7th march 2011

I have noted your request for information to be supplied under the Consumer Credit Act. I write to confirm we have requested this information from our client and shall provide it to you as soon as we are in reciept of the same.

I must at this point advise you that due to the fact the outstanding debt has been assigned from the original creditor to 1st Credit, it may take longer than the 12 days specified within the Consumer Credit Act. we confirm no enforcement action shall be considered by Connaught Collections until this information has been supplied to you.

should you wish to discuss the matter in the mean time please do not hesitate to contact us.

    yours Faithfully

    A Knobber.

Until they comply with your lawful request they CANNOT take further action.
So hang in there and wait and see what, if anything, arrives.

        Re: Got this letter today

Waste of time sending them a letter reminding them of their obligations under CCA.
As to stopping payments, I'm afraid that is your own choice.

          Re: Got this letter today

The thing that worries me if i stop payments is if they do come up with something they may take me to court for the whole of the outstanding debt and put my home at risk....i'm now left thinking was there any point in me sending the CCA if there isnt really much i can do about it if they cant produce the CA!!!

Without the actual agreement AND defaulting on your request is a solid defence in itself.
