    Hi
Yesterday I checked my credit file and I noticed that my egg card entry is showing as settled balance balance zero. I then noticed that there is any new entry for the same Egg card account number and same previous balance but under a different company name Aktiv Kapital,
I also noticed that there are two entries for Cabot both with the same account that reference but with different balances, I am only aware of one account with that reference,
My question is can Cabot placed 2 entries about the same account with 2 different balances and also make it look like I have defaulted on 2 accounts and would this be grounds to have the default removed as I have read that if 2 defaults have be put on the same account that both can be removed and not put back on?

My second question is in regard to the Egg account I have not paid it off so why dose it show up as settled and then why dose it appear under Aktiv Kapital?

Dose anyone have any help or advice on credit files
    I am confused

    Re: Credit Files

Aktiv Kapital may have purchased the debt from Egg, so in Eggs eyes the debt to them is settled leaving it now owing to Aktiv Kapital. Do you still make payments to any of these acounts and if so who to?

Have you received any letters regarding these accounts?

As for Cabot, the best thing to do (if you the debt is active and you acknowledge the debt) is contact them , in writing, and make them aware of your findings asking them to male a correction to your credit file.

      Thanks for your reply
No letters from Egg or Aktiv Kapital, ARC Europe ltd had been dealing will this debt but last letter from them was Nov 2009 until I made a CCA request to them last week and got a reply advising me the account no longer with them and has been referred back to egg.
No payments made since summer 2009

Should I make a CCA request to Aktiv Kapital at this stage having not had any letters from them?

I would also send AK a request for the Notice of Assignment stating that if the debt has not been assigned to them then they should remove their own markers from your CRA file.
