I wondered if I could get some advice.
I have a debt that was originally with Jacamo, and was sold to Cabot who then took me to court and won a CCJ by default. I have not acknowledged the debt to Cabot and have had zero contact with them about the debt since they bought it.
They’ve recently started sending letters chasing the debt and so far I have ignored them. However, today I have received a letter saying that an agent may visit to discuss the debt.
I don’t really want to have an ‘agent’ turn up at my house so I feel like I should respond but my impression is that because they haven’t enforced the ccj in over 6 years, they’ve got no chance of enforcing it now.
What do you guys think? Should I respond saying I don’t believe the debt is enforceable or am I wrong?
Thanks in advance.
