  • Debt letters / tm legal for Scottish power

Hello, i am hoping for some advice.

scottish power two years ago closed my account and sent me my final bill along with a cheque for the credit on my file. Months later they decided they had made a mistake and actually i wasnt owed the £520 they sent. I tried to fight it through ombudsman saying i gave final readings and closed the account so cant see why it isnt mine and its their mistake.

they have then continued to threaten me via different debt collectors aci being the main one now onto tm legal saying they will be looking at court action.

obviously i dont want it to get to that stage. At what point do i just give in? I dont feel i should pay them?

i have texts and calls daily now from tm legal.

    Hi SOPH2607

    Welcome to LB

You need to get some facts.

    a) Send Scottish Power a Subject Access Request, they have 30 days to provide all the data on the account. Make sure you get Proof of Postage.

    https://legalbeagles.info/library/gu...ccess-request/

    b) Amend / send TM Legal, the following dispute letter, that should stop their 'nuisance', make sure you get Proof of Postage.

Update when you get the SAR information.
