  • Is competing income and expenditure form an admission of being liable for the debt?

Long story short I completed this form whilst being threatened with court action unless I responded with the completed form, keeping in mind I didn't actually get this information until about 2 days prior to their deadline. So I panicked as they were already harassing me as well as other stuff going on and I thought by doing this it'd buy me more time to get this debt looked into proper. I have been going back and forth with them for a while since that form was completed and it turns out that they don't have any actual evidence of me being liable for this debt but they still keep trying their luck and saying I am.

But they are now saying that by completing that form I have admitted liability and there is nothing I can do or say about it now. Even though they have no evidence of me being liable and the "evidence" they did send me in fact proved more so that I am not liable for the debt and I keep quoting to them why what they sent and said in their evidence and how it contradicts why they said it made me liable, and each and every time they have ignored that specific part.

Have I shot myself in the foot here? and made myself liable for a debt that I am in fact not liable for, or are they trying to pull another fast one? and if that form has no bearing on liability what is the best way to tell them this ?

No payments have been made to them only the form was filled out and the £1 token payment was put in the how much can I pay part of the form. They never responded directly to this expenditure form in any regard and I have already told them the reasons for filling it out in the first place.

It is possible that the completed firm may amount to an admission. The wording of the form and of your answers may be significant.
