Hello, I need some advice please

I moved abroad a few years ago, and a loan. I took out for my Family stopped being paid without my knowledge

I am now back in the UK and have a CCJ taken out against me while I was out of the country so had no Knowledge of it happening (this was at my house known in the Uk and was renting out while I was working abroad) the last payment was in august 2017

Today I have received the following text

We have received instruction from our Client to apply for an Attachment of Earnings to recover the monies owed.

If your circumstances allow, you can stop this action by clicking the link qklink.uk/t/EseQQP and paying your full balance of PS9,529.78.

I am not sure where I stand

    any advice would be welcomed

You took out a loan which you did not pay? Why?

As I said it was for my family for their business as it was struggling, and they stopped paying it when I went to work abroad, so I was unaware

But you took a loan out in your name! It is almost certain that you signed a loan agreement promising to pay.

I suggest that you have a firm conversation with your family and get them to cough up so that you can clear this debt. Whether you will be able to get it off your credit record is another thing.

            Yes, it is.

What is the date of the CCJ?

When did you learn of it, and how?

Is the claimant the original lender?
