  • SAR request for a Barclaycard Account - Enquiry

    Good day Everyone,

I am in a bit of a fiddle.

I have 2 defaulted loans since mid-2017, £2100 to Barclaycard - sold to Hoist and £1900 to Barclays - sold to PRA Group.

I just came back into the UK 6 months ago to a different address (no acknowledgement since mid-2017 from me, no CCJ) and I have been paying £10 a month to Hoist (online payment plan) without any other form of communication. I know that this has reset the statue-barred date so I am quite ok with this.

My issue is that I would like to dispute the default date on the Barclaycard debt which means I have to send Barclaycard a SAR letter so as to know what information they have about me, especially the default notice letter. I would be sending a CCA request after their complaince with this so as to know if the debt is enforcable and face other debts.

However, it seems I will have to send it to the parent company, Barclays who owns Barclaycard. If i send teh SAR request to Barclaycard, seems they might have to reroute it to Barclays itself, I wonder if I would be opening myself for PRA Group to start chasing the original Barclays loan of £1900.

is there a way I can request the SAR from my Barclaycard only?

if i want to complain about the dispute, is there a template for this?

Hope to get a plan of action on here.

    Thank You
