  • Chased for CCJ after 14 years

    Hi All,

I divorced in 2007 and our marital home was unfortunately repossessed.

Since then I have more or less moved around but settled last year, moving from Britain to Northern Ireland.

I received a call from Capquest last week asking for payment on a £6k CCJ from Capital One credit card.

I know it can't be statues barred but as it is over 6 years old I know they would need permission from the courts to enforce.

I know this debt was bought for pennies and that Capquest are trying their luck but how can I make them 'go away'?

The CCJ belongs to Capital One, so I wonder whether Capquest can even apply to the court?????

I would like to send them a letter but unsure what to say?

On the call last week I did not acknowledge any debt.

    Thanks
