    Hi there,

So last year Cabot financial brought a claim against me for a debt. I sent letters back requesting proof of the debt which they couldnt provide. I then sent over my defence to the claim stating that they couldnt prove the debt. I never heard from them again for several months so I presumed as they didnt have the paperwork they had dropped the case.

Then a couple of months ago I started to get letters from them again, not mentioning the claim but acting like there had been no communication at all and asking me for the money again. I ignored them becasue as far as I'm concerned, they were asked ot prove it and they couldnt!

Now today i recieve a letter stating they are handing this over to solicotors AGAIN (different solicitors this time). Can they just keep attempting claims against me indefintitely and repeatedly keep going theough the hassle of having to fill in the forms over and over each time for them to drop it when I state they cant prove it? Or is there somethign I can do?

Any advice would be amazing. Thank you!

So old I dont recall. At least 15 years maybe about 20. However, I was paying it off in small increments until about 2015 ( I think)
Once I stopped paying it they must have sold it to Cabot. So anyway, I dont think it counts as statute barred because i was paying part of it until 2015 I guess (?)
