  • Arrow Global / Resolve Call

    Hi Legal Beagles,

I am now late 30's and when I was 20 I took out a loan (of which I cant remember the amount of ..maybe £5000) with Black Horse Finance circa 2004
Young and foolish me ended up getting into trouble financially and ended up burying my head in the sand.

*Out of nowhere I received a letter a couple of weeks ago from Arrow global saying they had bought the debt from Black Horse and was instructing me that Resolve Call would be handling the debt.
*A week ago I received a letter from Resolve Call stating they were acting on behalf of Arrow Global to assist in collection of said debt and if they don't hear from me they would call round to my house.

I instantly got anxious and checked all my credit scores and profiles and I have a perfect score across the board with no defaults or missed payments and no sign of ccj's or the loan. I learnt my lesson when younger and now older and settled my finances are sorted and this coming out of the blue is a real worry to me.

    * I called Citizens advice which instructed me to send a statute barred letter which I did. (attached)
    * In receipt of the latter Resolve Call then sent me a letter stating they have been instructed to hand the account back to Arrow Global. (attached)

What should I expect going forward? there has been no payments on this loan since 2005/6 latest and no contact on the phone or in writing during that period.
It's so long ago that I cant remember a ccj being issued..if it has then it went to one of many previous student/professional addresses in that time.

    Thanks
