  • Over payment to TM Legal services

If you need help dealing with TM Legal please make a thread on the forum -> MAKE NEW THREAD

    Hi.

I have a situation here that I would welcome assistance with.

I had a payment plan against a CCJ with the lovely people over at TM legal services and paid on time as per agreement with Northampton CC.

Funny enough I now have TM chasing for a payment of around £40 to close the account. Even funnier, I have checked and re checked my standing order payments from my account to TM and in fact I have overpaid by £100 - so I am in the situation where I am chasing a DCA for payment.

Unfortunately they are being rather evasive in responding to my many email requests for payment with copies of my standing orders and the original judgment to validate my request.

I must assume they either have an unmanageable workload or just wildly incompetent at their job when it comes to responding and paying back clients.

My question would be, is there a process / template to follow to escalate this and receive my £100. Appreciate its not a high value but more a case of principle and claiming what is mine and not sitting with these sharks.

    Many thanks

Have you ( or TM ) informed the court that payment under the Judgment has been completed so that the CCJ can be marked as satisfied on your Credit File and the Judgment Register.

A copy of the Judgment order and the payments you have made should be enough for TM/Asset to close the account and refund you the overpayment. If they do not refund the payment make a formal complaint, in writing, to Asset, cc'd to TM Legal. Letters are always better than emails.
