  • ooral and McKenzie Hall

    Hi all, I'm 'ooral'

Thought I'd say hello and let you all know why I am here!

I got a letter from Mckenzie Hall a few weeks ago, saying that a debt from 3 Mobile was being passed to them for collection. That I was to pay £30:16, asap. I thought maybe I had missed the last month or something when I was with 3Mobile, couldn't remember as it was over five years ago....

Contacted 3 Mobile as I wanted to get the details, informed by 3 that I actually owed 66p, which they would write off as it was such a small sum.....

Yesterday I recieved another letter, saying that MH were going to recommend that there client takes me to local court???

I personally can't believe this is legal, more like extortion to be honest. I would have paid 3 mobile if they had contacted me, 66p would not have killed me! So I'm hoping that someone can advise me on how to go about dealing with these people, as I have seen elsewhere on the net they appear to be some type of scam artists. I am in Scotland if it makes a difference!

    Thanks in advance,

    ooral

          Re: ooral and McKenzie Hall

Honestly, ignore MH as they are well known for chasing completely unenforceable debts.

As you are in Scotland the limitations period is FIVE years and as such MH are completely out of time.

File this under ignore, they will give up soon enough.
DO NOT contact them at all and most of all don't panic.

Thanks all for getting back to me, I've been waiting on the court officers taking my TV or arresting my wages! I guess I'm a worrier! I'll ignore it for now, hopefully that'll be the end of it....

Great site by the way, I've learned a lot just looking around!
