Hi, tesco bank have confirmed they are investigating, they have said that as the survey previously carried out was inconclusive they want me to have another by a vat registered company. I have spoken to some today who say this sounds like the floor is delaminating. They are not vat registered though when asked. I'm sure I'll find someone if I carry on looking but should I have to do this or is this a stalling tactic by tesco ? Thanks

Hi, can anybody help please, the credit card company are insisting that I have an independent report from a VAT registered company. I have checked and they are insistent that the company is vat reg. I cannot find one anywhere who is registered. I'm in manchester and the nearest I can find is London or Glasgow. I spoke with the furniture ombudsmand an also the institutite of flooring who gave me the number of an expert witness who I have spoken to and really understood my issue. He can report for 600 pounds but isn't VAT reg. Tesco wont commit to refunding the cost of the report but said they will reject my claim if I didn't provide a report from a vat registered company. Question is, do I have to have this report done or can I refuse ? It's proving difficult to meet their criteria but are tesco in their rights to insist ?
