while I've posted another item regarding the DCA claiming ownership of this account...I have a question about something I read on another post.
I have 'assumed' in all my deliberations that this account, having been passed to sainsbury's in house solictors, Blair, Oliver and Scott, is now in the hands of DCA's...but. I have never received any assignment letters, from anywhere, to confirm any of this. So, what if sainsbury's closed the account. I was abroad for 3 years and while I may well have missed some correspondance, i may well have been given up on as uncontactable, which I was for a while.
If in fact the account has been closed (or written off) how would I now find this out...I suppose a letter to sainsbury's bank. But what should I say, should it be a CCA letter, asking for the true copy of the agreement, or any deed of assignment, sale and account detail ? faced with this surely they would tell me what happened either way.
I have already sent a letter to the DCA asking for the same stuff, so that is in hand, but they can be untrustworthy and may not tell me or even realise perhaps if it has been written off. Just to tidy things up, I should and intend to write to sainsbury's and find out what they did with the credit agreement.
Any advice and how to compose this letter would be appreciated...
