Recently received my Bank Of Scotland cc statement.
As the balance has been just 12p for several months I usually just file it but as there were several pages to this months I glanced through it.
On page 4 ''Changes to Your Credit Card Conditions''
The law governing your agreement.
We'd like to confirm the law that applies to your agreement. If your address is in Scotland, Scottish law applies.Otherwise English law applies. The General section of your conditions will be updated.
So are they implying that these agreements made under the 1974 CCA will be ruled on differently dependant on where you live or that English or Scottish contract law will be used in disputes rather than the 1974 CCA ....or is it saying something else entirely different altogether that I've misunderstood?
