  • VANQUIS BANK - effing fuming

    Hi guys

Has anyone dealt with Vanquis bank?

They rang me earlier today for a payment - I changed my bank details a couple of months ago and forgot to set up their direct debit but have been paying them by debit card when they rang. The last payment i made was 28th September for £24 (I normally pay them £11 per month) - they told me how much I needed to pay to get my balance under the maximum limit. I haven't used my card since that payment and now they are trying to charge me £62. I refused to pay them over the phone and asked them to send me a list of charges.

Would £62 be correct? I only owe them £290 for gawd's sake! and probably still will when I pay the £62. Never ever ever again!

Never dealt with them myself but I remember reading a thread OTR ages ago and they were easy to get charges refunded from what I remember. You need to do SAR to find out the total amount of charges then do a Prelim.

Simply ask them to refund your charges. Hang on, I'll try to find my thread.
