  • Aqua card irresponsible lending claims

I have owed a lot of money to aqua (credit card) from a few years ago.
I keep having people email to say they beilive I have a case for irresponsible lending.
Only problem is these company's charge an absolute fortune. Does anybody know how I could do this myself? Like a letter template. Or just some advice.
Appologies if this has already been posted but I searched and couldn't find it.
It got to the point where my minimum payment jumped up to more I was getting paid each month and it spiralled out of control.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi MAK89

    Welcome to LB

If you believe 'irresponsible lending' has taken place, first thing to do, is make a Formal Complaint against Aqua, their complaints procedure will be on their website. Make sure you have evidence, it might be an idea to send a SAR first, they will send you all the data they hold on the account. They have 30 days to respond.

A letter that you can send, give reasons why you believe 'irresponsible lending has taken place, the evidence you have i.e. income etc. Personal circumstances i.e. health etc.

Once they send you a final response / Deadlock Letter and if you aren't happy with the response, you can complain to the FOS.
