I did an affordability/irresponsible lending complaint against barclaycard. During the process I told barclaycard that I never even applied, I just received it back in the late 90s through the post.
i asked them to provide me the original application which they did. Upon receipt I irealised that I never filled in this application and they must’ve done it automatically when I applied for the bank account.
in furtherance to this, in the signature strip on the application someone had hand written not ‘signed over leaf as printed on’
as I was keen to see my signature I asked barclaycard for the second sheet but they can’t find it.
so the question is, I personally think they shouldn’t have done that, however, do I have any grounds to take issue with it? If so what’s the best course of action?
many thanks in advance
