Hello all,
,
I had an account with O2 before and during 2012 (The exact dates I can't remember) in early 2013 I decided to take a new contract with O2. I then had my number from my previous O2 contract transferred over to my new contract.
In August 2015 I went onto checkmyfile.com and downloaded my credit report I was shocked to see that my previous account was still running and had £39.35 outstanding on it. If I'd have known this I would of happily paid £39.35 to settle the account to keep my file in good shape. Not once did they try to contact me to get the £39 that was outstanding, they had my phone number email address etc. on 12th September 2015 I called to pay the £39 and it now shows as settled on my credit file.
I've been in contact with O2 to kindly ask them to remove the defaults because it was a mistake. I've also contacted the ombudsman and also emailed the O2 CEO's office. They all say it has to be a true reflection of what really happened.
nobody really cares i'm looking to get a mortgage and this is really letting my file down.
Has anybody got anymore ideas?
any help would be much appreciated.
Lee.
