Hello everyone,
new member here, looking for advice please.
I completed an IVA in 2010 (paid a settlement) but the Northern Rock debt has continued to be an issue.
Firstly I was contacted by NRAM and later Marlin Financial Services.
I contacted Marlin back in December who checked their files to find that I had sent a Notice of Completion to them over a year previously. They agreed in December to close the file.
However as of Feb they have put a Default notice on my Noddle credit file (particularly annoying when I had only in Jan managed to get Natwest to amend their records from Default to Satisfied (which took almost 3 years). (Natwest even offered me compensation of 30 pounds - I declined!)
I have contacted Marlin who have said that it is an error and will look to remove it from my file, but it still has not been done.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem, particularly with Marlin or does anyone have any tips? I have considered taking legal advice about the way that I have been treated by both companies but as I am living abroad it seems like a lot of hassle.
Regards....
