Until October/November 2008 I had an overdraft of £500 on my cahoot bank account. I rarely used the account which was close to its od limit, but made occasional payments to reduce the balance, invariably using the money due to financial difficulties. I have never received a demand to repay it.
Anyhoo, in May 2007 I entered a DMP and included the od in it. Small payments were made each month. cahoot continued to charge interest etc on the account and I had full use of it. Money problems meant I had to keep diping into it.
In October 2008 the overdraft limit was reduced to £100 and they halted interest and charges. I received no notification this would happen and no demands to repay the balance. In December 2008 the od limit was reduced to zero. Again i received no notification or demands.
Since October 2008 cahoot have been entering late payment markers against the od. One is not amused!
Can anyone help me draft a complaint letter to cahoot?
