  • Wrong Default Dates

    Hi Guys,

I need help please, back in 2015 I was a student and unfortunately I got in debt which I couldn't pay at the time.

I have debts that were purchased by Debt Collector Agencies such ( Lowell, Cabot) and the original creditors were Aqua Credit Card, Capital One, EE, Three )

I remember that they were defaulted in 2016, however after these debt collector purchased the debt, they changed the default dates, the default dates reported to the credit agencies by these debt companies are not correct.

Unfortunately I don't have the default letters, is there any way to get SAR or GDPR information about the default dates?

I have requested from EE and they have not provided me any default dates in the files they have sent me, I believe they are hiding those information.

I have a Three debt that they are claiming they can't find any data on the address I have provided, however in the credit report lowell reports the debt and the addressed linked to that debt, how come is that possible they are saying they can't find the debt? this debt was from probably 2016/2017, but again lowell is reporting the default date in 2019.

Any ideas what I can do? what are my rights?

    Hi JJST

    Welcome to LB

It could be that Lowell's has defaulted you again when they bought the debts.
Speak with the Credit Reference Agency, see if they hold legacy records or can advise on how to proceed.
    Update the thread.
