I have a Wonga default and a QuickQuid default that I completely disagree with. Both companies no loger exist but I wrote to them, the debt agencies that wrote to me and toGrant Thornton, who acted on both companies behalf. The debt agencies replied telling me they no longer have any link to the companies. Grant Thornton replied and they advised me that I should ask the CRAs to suppress the records, as even the CRAs would not be able to get a reply from them.
Can anyone shed any light on this? I have contacted all 3 main CRAas.
I've had a reply from Experian just saying the default doesn't matter as the debt is satisfied but I've replied saying that is not the point so I am waiting their reply again and for TransUnion. Equifax removed both the records.
If the CRA's role is to help with disputes, but there is no one to even consider my dispute as the creditors, then surely they have no option to suppress as if they keep the record, they themselves are technically making the decision on behalf of Wonga and QQ?
