How should reduced mortgage payment plan be reported

Daughter went on maternity leave and arranged six month reduced payment plan (50% of payment) with her mortgage company. Could anyone please advise how this should be reported. She now fears her credit will be affected (hindsight afraid) and wants to reduce the effect so she can mortgage.
Plan is 1 - find out what was reported
2 - find out what should have been reported
3 and most important (I think) how to rebuild score.*
