I have been with Virgin media for at least 15 years, back when they were NTL.
I am happy with them, and even more now
Very simply
Around 3 months ago I was tempted to upgrade my speed from 60 mb/s to 150 mb/s
I love it.
I asked them What the catch was?
They said nothing at all, it will be the same price until further notice.
I had to pay for modem delivery, that never arrived, but I will save that story for another day.
Just to simplify it I will explain
Old Package

60 Megs
Free calls to Landline and Mobiles but not all numbers, ie 0845 etc
Cable TV on the most Basic package
New Package
---------------
150 Megs
Free calls to Landline and Mobiles but not all numbers, ie 0845 etc
Cable TV on the most Basic package
Basically no change
My Average Bill for the last few years has been around £60.00 per month
2 Months or so ago it went up to around £100.00
I thought nothing of it, but went into the shop and queried this and they said that it was due to some Landline calls.
It hadn't clicked yet, so I waited and a month later it was £120.00... so I rang Virginmedia
This went Higher and Higher up the chain of command.
It transpires after a lot of digging that ..
During the upgrade the Unlimited Phone calls that I pay a few £££ for have been Superseded, and isn't valid any more, so any calls I make I am charged for.
This was not made Clear or explained.
I got totally refunded for the last few months.
Well actually, I had a choice to get a few months free internet and phone and TV or take it up with my bank.
The Manager emailed me personally and confirmed this.
This has been amended.
