  • Irish Agreements.

I was reading an old thread on consumeractiongroup which was about a CC account sold to Cabot from MBNA. Cabot were taking the creditor to court but discontinued when the Deed of Assignment was finally produced and it was found to be offshore (Ireland).
    Cabot Test Case!!

I have an account that I believe is unenforceable, originally MBNA but sold to Varde, who are apparently an Irish company. I've had the usual threats from Experto Credite who are representing them, but so far it hasn't gone to court. I'm wondering if the same thing as above would happen? If it was brought to light that the new owners were an Irish company would this stop them going to court?

What do you believe are the chances of seeing the Deed of Assignment, or would this not be possible before the onset of a court case?
