  • Wescot and Arrow Global

    Hi all,

    Hope someone can advise.

Got some letters from Wescot asking for personal info to confirm if I was the person they were trying to contact.

The letters related to an MBNA account that had been passed on from 'Arrow' and then on to Wescot. The last few letters were from Wescot.

    No assignment etc from anyone.

The last but one letter, from Wescot: 'To avoid Wescot taking further action you MUST pay the debt in full to Wescot Credit Sevices.'

I then sent (recorded post) a CCA request to Wescot. (Track and Trace shows Delivery to them the next day)

    Their reply:

'In order for us to prevent a breach of the data protection Act (LOL) and also to continue with your enquiry it would be most helpful if you could: Confirm your date of Birth and the last address you have resided together with the date vacated.

They also returned the £1 Postal Order which I sent with the CCA request and in the same sentence added 'Please return this Postal Order with the details that we have requested along with your request for the agreement'

We look forward to receiving this information in the next 10 days.

Just wondered should I ignore and wait until the 12 working days and Default them?

I am also thinking about reporting them to Trading Standards et al.??

    All advice greatly appreciated. Thanks
