hi everyone i am new to the site and already have seen some helpful advice

my issue is with a company called marstons who hve issued a distress warrant on my partner for a car fine. i have written to offer payments to clear the amount off at 50.00 a month andd also a cheque for 31.00 to start off the payments. i made it clear i was not refusing to the debt. this morning i received back the cheque and a quick note saying to contact the bailiff direct. i just wondered if anyone had any advice
