    Rang them again. They still don't have an answer so I sent them a SAR. Let's see what that brings up.

      Hi Wendy, a CCA specialist solicitor has looked at my agreement and said that it's bad news - for the lender! Hidden commission, Hurstanger v Wilson refers. I wouldn't believe your average lender's staff. Most of the staff will give you the answer that they have been told is correct but they won't have the expert knowledge to question what they are told and the fact that they might not be popular if they did. The agreement that I have is irredeemably unenforceable under s 65 and 127 (3) of the CCA 1974. If you're wondering about your agreement then take it into a CCA specialist. BTW my local trading standards people didn't spot it either!

      I'm about to give my lender a call to see what they have to say so I'll let you know what happens.
