Hi All
I would realy appreciate help with Halifax Credit Card debt.
I reached a point last summer where I could no longer afford the monthly payment on my card. I wrote to them explaining my situation and worked out that I could afford to pay them £100 per month. I never heard anything from them with regards to accepting my offer or refusing it. They stopped interest and charges for a month and then started them up again. The balance has now risen from about £12,000 to over £14,000.
I have had no termination notice, but then out of the blue, I have received a demand for the full balance from Apex Credit Management.
I requested a copy of the CCA as I hoped that if they could not provide it that I would be in a better negotiating position. All I received was a Re-constituted version.
I hace read on various forums about "unlawfull Recession of Contract". Does this apply in this case or is this all just another myth?
Any advice on what I should do now would be much appreciated.
Thanks
