  • PutoffMBNA v MBNA

MBNA after receiving a full financial breakdown of income and other creditors today rang yet again with loan shark deployed acumen to interrogate. ' Why did I not take in lodgers in my extra bedrooms'. This man has aquired from me to MBNA an extra £100 that was over the amount I could afford saying he will do a deal as I am a disabled veteran and a student of 61 with no pension. He could not believe in this day and age I get £2.61 per week due to stamps not paid during the terms as a carer and a student of Masters level.

I am a recluse and rural and yet he said go into rented and sell and give us the equity in your property. He said of the council tax prior that is high. It is in the areas of some districts as we pay £245 a month as banded where in the old days I would pay the minimum as live on my own. I have taken on the financial problems due to husband working when he gets work away from home and my former days of being a financial advisor in the 1980's.

All the other creditors are fine but this one is a disgrace to the Bank of America which own MBNA. Each time the same man interrogates the statement and stops just short or subliminally implies 'steal the money'. That is obtain by any means more than I can afford to pay by not paying the council tax, asking for money from others and selling my effects and personal belongings, and taking in lodgers and renting out or selling. Thats a laugh and he asks of what the house is worth, what I have as money and to say he will do another deal. The deal is that he wants more than double what the others get and he makes suggestions that would make me unsafe, he took by debit card the money after one payment and said he would send paperwork for direct debt. Then came back five minutes later two weeks ago and said ' the council tax and your mortgage' ' it is too high'. I then said of the area and he argued that it was per quarter and so it went with the whole financial statement under scrutiny so as to harrass and itimidate and present a plan of me making myself homeless and without money for food and essential heating.

As we live in England the weather in the Borders is colder and we need more heating and he did not understand that logs and wood were needed as well as gas. #

But of all the statements to say 'take in lodgers in my spare rooms was very upsetting as this man calls with a private number five times seven days a week -after the payment of the hundred pounds and the income and expenditure of one week ago.

I have sent this to the MBNA complaints as all calls are recorded.

He will not accept the payment plan offered and instigates more ways of getting me to use my debit card and to go into over my overdraft and he knows that when he does it.
