  • Kevboy Vs Lloyds (Reprise)

    Hi all

might as well start with a confession - yes it was me that lost against lloyds.

I am now attempting to go via FOS for me pennies.
At present writing a new letter to Lloyds to get the 6 month allowance to go to FOS (but putting in all the stuff that I messed up on :rolleyes
    anybody any ideas?

  • #2
Firstly have to say Kev, bad luck but I'll bet Lloyds were as gobsmacked as you by that decision.

Good to see you're fighting on, far as I can see the banks deal with FOS complaints in the same way they deal with bank claims, stall as long as they can then pay up.

I can never remember seeing a blow by blow account of an FOS complaint in the same way we have for bank claims so if you could keep us informed that would be great, if you need any help just shout (although I'm sure you know more than us lot put together now)

      Hi Kevin

Welcome to the site, I hope you enjoy it here.

Bad luck with your Lloyds claim, in my eyes you were the poor lamb who got to test the argument and exposed some significant flaws. Certainly as far as I was aware, people had not previously produced T&Cs to back up their argument, so I wouldn't agree that you 'mucked up', no one could have foreseen that issue.

Thankfully some good has come from this and we are all working on tightening up our arguments. Not so good for you though! I'm glad to see you are progressing things with the FOS. If you need help drafting the letter, just pm me what you have so far and we'll take a look at it.

Anyway, lovely to see you here.

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

ok -to keep this side updated as well
I have just had my letter from Lloyds - they treated my request for final decision with the contempt it wanted - ie they ignored it - they think its a new complaint
So I will have to send another letter saying 'do you read letters'? any ideas of how to write that one?

and yes I is back from rain swept rhyl - with a lovely tide mark rather than sun tan!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw Kevboy, we missed ya............ really,, we did. Soz about the poopy weather. Not my doing, but just the way the cookies crumbles Im afraid.

I would stick to a simple letter of:

I sent you letter on XXXX date and it appears you have not even properly read the contents of. Can I suggest you go back and read it, and then respond accordingly and not with some standard letter. My original letter required an answer. Not a standard go away.

Just say what you mean, but politely.

Veilside - small problem with what you have written, where is the Crash - ERROR - REboot - Return to Sender.......
but does that mean I can charge them £30 for having my computer return it with no human intervention?
