After writing to HSBC about one of our old loan accounts they sent an offer through.
Now we had SARed them and they hadn't sent any info so I accepted the offer in part and said until we received our info we couldn't make an informed decision in full.
The SAR info finally came through and my ex-husband sent it to me as I'm the one dealing with this. I should get it today and will check it through.
We had the same situation with Sainsburys on a loan and they sent a cheque the following week.
How long do HSBC take to cough up after making an offer?
(ps the Sainsburys money was all my ex-hubby's, but I'm entitled to half this HSBC money and things are desperate financially! Trust my luck for the HSBC to be dragging their feet! :tinysmile_hmm_t2
Also do they send a cheque or pay into your account?
