GMAC Mortgage Charges Reclaim

Am attaching a request for refund of mortgage penalty charges (letter provided courtesy of Tuttsi - thank you) and have modified it obviously to suit.

Could someone please just cast their expert eye over it and make sure I haven't got anything in there that is no longer relevant please?

Also, not sure whether to leave out last paragraph at this stage - not wanting to get their backs up with 'threats' before even letting them have a chance to look into the matter and respond.

On another note - I have included 8% interest but bearing in mind mortgage interest rates generally run at less than 8% am wondering if this would be correct???

Any help would be gratefully received.

I have to say hun, I am not that clever, someone else wrote it and passed to me.

I am not sure I would call them Penalty charges though although they probably are lol.

Well if it went to court for instance you would get 8% so dont worry about the rate.
I would go the FOS route once you have been told that they are not going to play nicely.

Have you the mortgage terms and conditions? if the answer is no I suggest you have sight of them before taking action.
