HI I let my son use this address fo his mail(C/O) he is getting debt letters.
I phone in on his mobile. he tells me to open the letters they threaten Bailiffs.
But my son does live here. but this is where the bailiffs will come what can I do

My son split from his girlfriend Has we can't give him a room he spends his time with who ever he can. so he uses our address for postage he justs picks up mail or a friend might. It seems he has an outstanding debt. he asked us to open a letter it was from a DCA It stated due to none compliance Bailifs will call to sieze goods to the debt value. It is His debt not mine I do not know what to do My son tells me not to worry he will sort it but letters still come here.

Good news is we can help you to relax and put your mind at ease.

Well if it's DCA's making the usual Bailiff threats they can be IGNORED.
A Bailiff wont be coming round without an order from court, so unless that has happened this is yet more bovine excrement from the DCA's.

Can you give us more details on the debt, etc..

I really don't know much except he hire a tool of some kind but was over bythe by three days but the hirer is only in his place of work on fridays so he tried his phone and kept getting friday for business only try then but he was not there that certain week so he returned the he says but the hirer says he owes the full price of the tool. because he over run the hire period.

Does he have a copy of the hire agreement? I very much doubt they can impose ownership of goods on someone who'd hired them just for returning them a day late.

It's quite hard to see how this has got to the stage of bailiffs unless your son has ignored a n awful lot of requests for payment.
