If you watched the program last night,do you think at some point they were trading insolvently,and if so does this mean the government broke the rules as well,looks like Fred Goodwin was a bit of a Bully boy,and everybody around him was scared of him,I still think he should be in jail as he told a blatant lie to the shareholders when he tried to raise more money through a share issue,but the old boys look after each other though,DON'T THEY.

Goodwin's claim (and others) that the bank didn't support direct subprime lending and that the bank had minute exposure to same was not true.

I expect that RBS (the taxpayer) will be paying shareholders out when they are successfully sued. however, the culpable will continue to draw their perverse pensions.
